HDR, or High Dynamic Range photography is a technique that captures a wider range of light and shadow in a single image and is achieved by taking multiple photos of the same scene at different exposures.
Then combining them in post-processing results in an image with more detail in both the highlights and shadows, creating a more visually striking and realistic representation of the scene.
With some additional advanced editing, you'll notice a significant difference compared to a single-flash image. The interior will be bright, evenly lit, and free of harsh shadows and bright spots. Colors will be vibrant and eye-catching. Simultaneously, the windows will maintain detail and not appear blown out.
A single flash photo can often result in harsh, artificial lighting that can distort the true appearance of a property. It may create unwanted shadows, hotspots, or a washed-out look, making the space appear less inviting. Additionally, flash can struggle to capture the full dynamic range of a room, especially in spaces with varying levels of natural light.
